What makes the Masonic Home of Virginia so unique?
The Masonic Home is the only Continuing Care Retirement Community dedicated to providing retirement services solely to Virginia Masons, their wives, widows and other qualified individuals.  The Masonic Home embodies the Masonic principle of care for others.   

What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community?
Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) allow residents to  age  within the community with flexible accommodations that are designed to meet their health and housing needs as these needs change over time. The Masonic Home provides for housing, services and nursing care, all in one location, enabling residents to remain in a familiar setting as they grow older.

How is the Masonic Home licensed?
The Masonic Home operates under licensure from both the Virginia Department of Social Services for Residential and Assisted Living and the Virginia Department of Health for the Health Care Center.  The Home boasts a history of deficiency free inspections from both of these authorities.

What types of living accommodations are offered?
The Home offers private rooms and baths for individuals, two room suites with two private baths for couples, one and two bedroom apartments and independent living cottages.   Also situated within the Residential Living complex are a medical care center and a memory support center.

May I bring my furniture?
Yes!  You bring your comfortable furniture and cherished belongings to create a familiar and relaxing Home.

What amenities are offered?

  • 5,000+ volume library including numerous large print books.  Books on CD are also available.
  • 91 beautiful acres in a secure gated community on which to stroll, garden or just relax in numerous sitting areas.
  • Access to exercise equipment.
  • Fully equipped woodworking shop.

  • Private dining room for special celebrations.
